Sengan-enSengan-en

Also known as: Iso Garden

Built in 1658 by Shimazu Mitsuhisa, the 19th head of the Shimazu clan, Sengan-en is the family's villa garden in the Iso district, using Sakurajima as a borrowed backdrop hill and Kinko Bay as its pond. It stands beside the former Shuseikan industrial complex, together forming part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.
