Oda Nobunagaoda-nobunaga

Also known as: 織田信長・Nobunaga

The warlord born in Owari Province who rose from regional lord to near-unifier of war-torn Japan in the sixteenth century. He grew up in the Nagono area of present-day Nagoya and made his name with his stunning upset victory over Imagawa Yoshimoto at the Battle of Okehazama. He is celebrated as one of Nagoya's three hometown heroes.
