Toyotomi Hideyoshitoyotomi-hideyoshi

Also known as: 豊臣秀吉・Hideyoshi・Taiko

The sixteenth-century warlord who rose from humble origins in Nakamura (now part of central Nagoya) to become the supreme ruler of Japan. Having served under Oda Nobunaga and succeeded him after his death, Hideyoshi unified the country and is immortalised as one of Nagoya's three celebrated hometown heroes.
