Tsunoshima Ohashi BridgeTsunoshima Ohashi

Also known as: 角島大橋

A bridge linking the mainland at Hohoku, Shimonoseki, with Tsunoshima island, opened in 2000. It is 1,780 m long, toll-free, and regarded as one of the longest free bridges to an island in Japan. It was built to support island life, since winter waves on the Sea of Japan often cancelled the ferry.
