A passenger ferry between Karato Pier in Shimonoseki and Moji Port Pier, run by Kanmon Kisen since 1989. The crossing takes about five minutes each way, with sailings every 20 to 30 minutes in the daytime (as of late 2023). It is a daily lifeline for people on both shores, with extra sailings on festival days.
