The old name of Ganryujima. The Yamaguchi tourism federation says it was called Funashima from ancient times, and in the early Meiji era it was common land of Hikoshima Village. The name Ganryu comes from the pen name of Sasaki Kojiro, written Iwaryu or Ganryu.
