Miura Peninsula
A peninsula in southeastern Kanagawa Prefecture, jutting out between Sagami Bay and Tokyo Bay. It spans the cities of Yokosuka, Kamakura, Zushi, and Miura along with the town of Hayama, and its center is underlain by the Hayama Group, the peninsula's oldest bedrock. Its mild climate made it a resort and villa destination from the Meiji era onward.
