Manju and KanjuManju to Kanju

Also known as: 満珠・干珠・満珠島・干珠島

Two small islands off Chofu. According to legend, Empress Jingu returned to the sea the jewels that controlled the tides, given to her by the deity Sumiyoshi, and they became islands. They form a detached precinct of Iminomiya Shrine, and the forest on them is a national natural monument.
