Also known as: 伊藤博文
A statesman from Choshu and Japan's first prime minister. In the winter of 1887 he ate fugu at Shunpanro in Shimonoseki, which led to the lifting of the ban on eating fugu in Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1888. He also served as Japan's chief delegate at the 1895 peace talks held in the same city.
