Wakamiya Shrine
The Wakamiya is the lower shrine of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, enshrining four deities: Emperor Nintoku, Emperor Richu, Nakatsuhime no Mikoto, and Iwa no Hime no Mikoto. Thatched at its 1180 founding, the current building was rebuilt in 1624 on the order of the second shogun, Tokugawa Hidetada, and is now a National Important Cultural Property.
