Kamakura Five Mountains
The Kamakura Five Mountains (Gozan) is a Rinzai Zen temple-ranking system comprising Kenchoji, Engakuji, Jufukuji, Jochiji, and Jomyoji. The 3rd Ashikaga shogun, Yoshimitsu, finalized the ranking system alongside the Kyoto Five Mountains in 1386. Kenchoji holds the top rank.
