Mishima Jikonbo TumuliMishima Jikonbo Kofungun

Also known as: 見島ジーコンボ古墳群・ジーコンボ古墳群・Jikonbo Tumuli・Jikonbo

A national historic site on the southeastern shore of Mishima, off Hagi, where nearly 200 stone-piled mounds of basalt stand crowded together. Dated to between the late 7th and early 10th centuries, they are said to be the graves of warriors stationed on the island against a Silla invasion.
