Hagi Okan RoadHagi Okan
Also known as: 萩往還・Hagi Okan
A road of about 53 km running from Hagi's castle town via Akiragi, Sasanami and Yamaguchi to Mitajiri in Hofu, linking the Sea of Japan side with the Inland Sea side. The lords used it on their way to and from Edo, and it is a national historic site with features such as Namida-matsu, the stone-paved Isshodani slope and the Itado Pass boundary stone.
