A small hill on the east side of Aizuwakamatsu where 20 teenage members of the Byakkotai's Shichu Ni-ban-tai squad took their own lives after retreating there during the Boshin War. The 19 who died are buried on the hill alongside a memorial hall, and a monument donated by Italy in 1928 also stands among the graves.
