Oiso Town
A town in Kanagawa's Naka district. It flourished in the Edo period as the Tokaido post town of Oiso-juku, and from the Meiji era became a favored villa retreat for statesmen and business leaders like Ito Hirobumi and Yoshida Shigeru. Historic sites include Shigitatsu-an and the former Yoshida Shigeru residence.
