Three Great Writers of KanazawaKanazawa San-bungo

Also known as: Kanazawa Sanbungo・Kanazawa's Three Literary Giants

A collective label for three novelists born in Kanazawa: Izumi Kyoka, Tokuda Shusei, and Muro Saisei. Each has his own memorial museum within the city, and although their birth years are close together, Kyoka in 1873, Shusei in 1871, and Saisei in 1889, their styles range from Kyoka's romantic fantasy to Shusei's naturalism, with little in common beyond their hometown.
