Park-and-ride

Park-and-ride is a system where drivers leave their cars in an outlying parking lot and switch to public transit or a shuttle bus to reach the city center. Kamakura City promotes park-and-ride around Ofuna Station during congested tourist seasons, encouraging visitors to transfer to JR or Enoden trains for the final stretch into town.
