Fukuoka City MuseumFukuoka-shi Hakubutsukan

Also known as: 福岡市博物館

A municipal museum located in Sawara-ku's Momochi-hama waterfront district. Its most celebrated exhibit is the National Treasure gold seal bearing the inscription 'Kan no Wa no Na no Kokuo' (meaning: King of the Na state of Wa), unearthed on Shikanoshima. The museum also covers Fukuoka's history from ancient times to the modern era.
