Hagi no NanabakeHagi no Nanabake

Also known as: 萩の七化け・七化け・Seven Transformations of Hagi

A saying about Hagi ware: tea and other liquids seep through the fine surface cracks called kannyu, so the colour of the vessel changes with use and grows into a rustic, wabi-like character. The coarse, absorbent clay is behind it.
