Hayama
A town in Miura District, Kanagawa Prefecture, and the only municipality still remaining in that district. Facing Sagami Bay, it developed from the late Meiji era as a villa resort for the imperial family and nobility, and in 1894 became home to the Hayama Imperial Villa. Also known as a birthplace of Japanese yachting, it has a population of about 32,000.
