Also known as: 相国寺
A head Rinzai temple founded in 1382 by Ashikaga Yoshimitsu as the second-ranked of the Kyoto Gozan. Both Kinkaku-ji (Rokuon-ji) and Ginkaku-ji (Jisho-ji) are its detached sub-temples.
