Also known as: 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa・Marubi

A circular art museum designed by SANAA, the studio of Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa, that opened on October 9, 2004. Known affectionately by the nickname Marubi, it houses Leandro Erlich's permanent installation Swimming Pool, and in some years its annual attendance has topped 2.5 million, making it one of the most-visited museums in the Hokuriku region.
