Jufukuji

Jufukuji ranks third among the Five Mountains of Kamakura. It was founded in 1200 by Hojo Masako to pray for the soul of her late husband, Minamoto no Yoritomo, with Eisai as founding priest — the monk credited with bringing Rinzai Zen and the custom of tea drinking from Song China to Japan. A rock-cut yagura at the rear of the grounds is said to hold the graves of Masako herself and her son Sanetomo.
