Hasedera
Hasedera Temple traces its founding to 736. Its principal image is an eleven-headed Kannon carved in wood, one of the largest wooden Buddhist statues in Japan at about 9.18m tall, shown holding a distinctive staff and vase in the so-called “Hase-style.” The temple's hillside terrace offers sweeping views of Yuigahama Beach.
