Sakurajima DaikonSakurajima Daikon

A giant daikon radish grown in Sakurajima's well-drained volcanic ash soil. Documented in Edo-period records as larger than the ordinary kind, a specimen grown on Sakurajima weighing 31.1 kg was certified as a Guinness World Record in 2003.
