Hinomisaki Shrine
Hinomisaki Shrine is made up of two vermilion halls built in gongen-zukuri style: the lower shrine, Hishizumi-no-miya, enshrining Amaterasu, and the upper shrine, Kami-no-miya, enshrining Susanoo. Tradition pairs it with Ise Shrine as a guardian of the direction where the sun sets.
