Okyuto (Hakata Seaweed Jelly)Okyuto

Also known as: おきゅうと

A traditional Hakata breakfast food made by boiling and setting seaweed (primarily egonori or eginso) into a firm, pale jelly. It is sliced into strips and served cold with condiments: grated ginger, dried bonito flakes (katsuobushi), and soy sauce. The texture is cool and slippery, making it a refreshing morning dish.
