角島 (Tsunoshima)
Also known as: 角島・Tsunoshima
An island about 1.5 km off the north-west coast of Hohoku, Shimonoseki, read Tsunoshima, with shima unvoiced. The name is said to come from the resemblance of the twin capes Yumezaki and Makizaki to ox horns, and the 1,780 m Tsunoshima Bridge opened in November 2000.
