Also known as: 笹かまぼこ

A fish-paste cake of white fish shaped into a bamboo-leaf form and grilled. It became a Sendai specialty in the Meiji era, and its shape is said to derive from the bamboo-leaf crest of the Date family. It is a classic souvenir.
