Tenmusutenmusu
Also known as: 天むす・shrimp tempura rice ball
A compact rice ball enclosing a small shrimp tempura, lightly seasoned and wrapped in nori. Though it has become strongly associated with Nagoya as a local speciality and souvenir, its origins are contested — some accounts trace it to Tsu City in Mie Prefecture before it was popularised in Nagoya.
