eraiieraii

Also known as: えらい・Nagoya dialect for tired/exhausted

In Nagoya dialect, eraii means 'tired' or 'physically exhausted' — a usage strikingly different from standard Japanese, where erai means 'admirable' or 'distinguished.' This divergence in meaning is widely noted as one of the trickiest features of Tokai-region speech.
