Dai NihonshiDai Nihonshi

A biographical-style history of Japan whose compilation was begun by Tokugawa Mitsukuni and completed by Mito Domain over more than two centuries, running into the Bakumatsu era. It became the source of the Mito Gaku school of imperial-loyalist thought.
