Also known as: Nagamachi

A former residential quarter for mid- and upper-ranking Kaga Domain samurai, where earthen walls and stone-paved lanes still line the streets. Its defining feature, the Onosho Canal, is Kanazawa's oldest waterway, opened shortly after Maeda Toshiie took the castle, and it was once used to float timber in from the port of Miyakoshi, present-day Kanaiwa.
