Imo-jochuImo-jōchū

Also known as: Sweet Potato Shochu・Satsuma Shochu

A single-distilled shochu made primarily from sweet potatoes. Sweet potato shochu that is both distilled and bottled within Kagoshima Prefecture is entitled to use the name Satsuma, a designation formally protected as a Geographical Indication recognized by the World Trade Organization.
