Also known as: 大雪山・Mount Asahidake

A mountain range whose main peak, Mount Asahidake (2,291 m), is Hokkaido's highest. Called 'Kamuy Mintar' (playground of the gods) in Ainu, it is known for alpine-plant plateaus and some of Japan's earliest autumn foliage.
