Amakusa-banAmakusa-ban

Also known as: 天草版・キリシタン版

The collective name for Roman-letter books and other works printed in the late 16th century at the Jesuit seminary Amakusa Collegio, also called Kirishitan-ban. They were produced on a movable-type press brought back by the Tensho embassy of young envoys to Europe.
