Aizu MatsuriAizu Matsuri

Aizuwakamatsu's largest festival, held every September, with a stated purpose of honoring those who died in the Boshin War. Its central event is the Aizu Lord's Procession, in which several hundred participants in Edo-period costume parade through the city.
