Also known as: 三居沢発電所

A hydroelectric power station using water from the Hirose River. In the Meiji era it began generating electricity to power and light a spinning mill, and it is regarded as the birthplace of hydroelectric power in Japan. It is still operated today by Tohoku Electric Power.
