Also known as: 渡月橋

The iconic bridge of Arashiyama, spanning the Katsura-gawa (called the Oi-gawa along this stretch). Its name is traced to a Kamakura-era poem by the retired Emperor Kameyama likening the moon's passage to a crossing.
