Izumo mythology
Izumo mythology is the collective name for a group of stories set in Izumo and recorded in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, including Susanoo's defeat of Yamata-no-Orochi, Okuninushi's building of the land, and the kuni-yuzuri transfer of that land to Amaterasu's line.
