Also known as: 神居古潭

A gorge along the Ishikari River in Asahikawa. The name comes from the Ainu 'kamuy kotan' (village of the gods / where the gods dwell), and it is a scenic spot once known as a treacherous stretch of the river, a textbook hard-to-read place name.
