Shukkeien GardenShukkeien

Also known as: 縮景園

An Edo-period daimyo garden in Hiroshima City. The Asano clan, lords of the Hiroshima domain, began building it in 1620, and it was laid out by the tea master and chief retainer Ueda Sōko. Its name is traditionally credited to the Confucian scholar Hayashi Razan.
