KureKure

Also known as: 呉・呉市

A port city in southern Hiroshima Prefecture. It grew as a naval port hosting a former navy district headquarters and became a center of shipbuilding and steelmaking where the battleship Yamato was built. It remains a base of the Maritime Self-Defense Force today.
