Kanamori Nagachika
A warlord who distinguished himself in the 1585 conquest of Hida and was granted the whole of Hida Province by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. He built Takayama Castle and its merchant-focused castle town, and died in Kyoto's Fushimi district in 1608 at age 84.
