Meinohama DistrictMeinohama

Also known as: 姪浜

A district in western Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City, read 'meinohama' (sometimes shortened locally to 'meihama'). Meinohama Station is the western terminus of the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line and the transfer point to the JR Chikuhi Line for service toward Itoshima and beyond. Historically the area was a port town known for fishing and salt production.
