阿蘇カルデラAso Caldera
Aso Caldera took shape through four major eruptions between roughly 270,000 and 90,000 years ago, forming a basin about 25km north-south and 18km east-west, one of the largest calderas in the world. Around 60,000 people across Aso City and six neighboring towns still live on its floor and outer rim.
