Amakusa IslandsAmakusa Shoto

Also known as: 天草諸島・天草地方

An archipelago in southwestern Kumamoto Prefecture surrounded by the Ariake Sea, the Yatsushiro Sea, and the East China Sea. Made up of roughly 120 islands large and small, it spans Amakusa City, Kamiamakusa City, and Reihoku Town.
