Editorial policy

Every quiz question and article on this site is written in-house — never scraped, never auto-generated. Sources prefer government, official, and primary references; where accounts differ we say so, and readings and origins follow official or primary references. Each question shows its explanation and source after you answer, each article lists its sources per item, so anything on the site can be verified.

We cover only facts that can be verified from public information, and avoid discriminatory, politically biased, or gratuitous content. If you spot an error, the contact form reaches the editorial team directly; confirmed errors are corrected with the source re-checked.

Automated quality gates

69 checks, all of which must pass before any release

Behind the numbers sits a fixed routine. Writing comes first: a question is drafted with its source in hand, and the data format itself refuses a question without one. Machine checks come second: 69 automated gates verify schema, sources, difficulty balance, answer leakage between questions, duplication between articles, and Japanese-English symmetry on every change. Human review comes last: independent multi-angle review rounds (fact-checking, difficulty, leaked answers, wording) repeat until no significant findings remain.

The English edition is not a mechanical translation. Questions that only work in Japanese — kanji readings, for instance — are re-composed so they make sense in English, and the same machine gates verify that the two languages stay symmetric in coverage and structure.

Reference source library

The table lists the 50 most-referenced publishers across all questions and articles, counted at build time. Publisher names are derived mechanically from our source records and may differ from an organization's formal name; the host column is the verifiable key.
